Easter weekend is here, and my mom's in hospice. It's a tough situation. Losing a parent is really hard; I’ve already gone through that heartache with my dad back in 2014 and my mother-in-law this past January. In the middle of it all, I’ve decided to tackle reorganizing my studio.
But hey, Laura's Little World is still up and running, and we’re open for orders! Huge shoutout to everyone in our amazing community for all the support and kindness. Things are a bit rough at home right now, but I’m determined to make my online shop a success. I won’t throw in the towel—it’s what my mom would have wanted. She’s always backed me up, no matter what.
I totally get that sometimes you need to step back when life gets too hectic. Seriously, taking a mental health break is key to keeping your balance.
To keep my spirits up, I dive into drawing, crocheting, building miniatures, and making collages, all while sipping on some good coffee and getting lost in a good book.
How do you unwind? What’s your go-to for a mental health day?
